One of the latest methods in the business of handling materials is the automated truck loading Systems (or simply put, the ATLS). This system refers to the automation of the method of unloading and loading materials from their trailer trucks. This method no longer makes use of older methods of keeping track, such as slip sheets or the like. Instead, the ATLS makes use of different machines, such as conveyor belts, guided vehicle systems and other similar pieces of machinery that would help hasten the process of loading and unloading materials from these trucks.
Other benefits of this system include an increase in the capacity of the trailer to hold materials, eliminate all chances of causing damage to the different products. It can also bring about a decrease in the need for space and manpower in shipping docks. Ultimately, these systems bring about better utilization of trailer trucks and makes sure that we use these trucks to our full advantage.
