Nissan Leaf Rated 73 Miles Per Full Charge by EPA

So the Environmental Protection Agency has rated Nissan Leaf to go up to 73 miles on a full re-charge. That essentially means that Leaf will be a hit with people travelling 30 miles to offices to ensure they can return home without the need of a re-charge.

The Leaf needs 7 hours for a full re-charge and aside from being a tedious task to charge, I think the Leaf is a perfect small electric vehicle for daily commute. You will not only save money as it has been rated equivalent to a 99 MPG gas vehicle, but you will also be able to add your bit to the greener environment.

If you compare the mileage or cost of operations of a Leaf, the mileage equivalent to a gas driven vehicle is quite high. Infact, it is double the mileage offered by the Toyota Prius hybrid.

It looks like the 20,000 people on the Nissan list will be happier after seeing the EPA rating.
