A Mother Expresses Her Disappointment Over Son's Cancelled Visit

I am so disappointed to hear that Sam is no longer pushing through with his plan to visit us this weekend. You see, I have not seen my son in a long time and since he told me about his scheduled trip back home, I was already counting the days till he arrives. But what can I do? If you say he is busy then who am I to insist? But please tell him that his nephew, Aaron would be so disappointed too. The last time they spoke to each other, Sam promised that he would teach Aaron how to connect mac to hdtv when he comes. But I guess that won't happen this weekend. I am just wondering how come Sam did not call us earlier to tell us that his plans have been cancelled. He should have informed us ahead of time so that we did not have to put our hopes so high. Did you say he is out of town attending a seminar? In that case, please tell him we really miss him. Tell him we'll be waiting for his visit, whenever that may be.
